Factory Coffee is a coffee shop in Chiang Mai that has gotten some notoriety due to its interesting décor and coffee. This fame is well deserved. With a few pieces of French inspired accents, hanging dried lavender, and one and a half stories of sitting space, Factory Coffee offers up a great work place. Electrical plugs are everywhere, the AC is on, and the food and coffee are great. I use Factory Coffee as one of my go to work spaces in the city and it makes up a typical “coffee shop work day” for me. You can learn a little more about that here. When locating the Factory be on the look out for a life size sculpture of an all white deer in front of the building. Scooter parking is available in front of building as well. A small but satisfying menu is available including cheesecake and other sweets. The space fills up on Sundays and between 3-6pm with students prepping for class so make sure you claim your space before then.
Open from 9am – 8pm you can catch their latest news on their Facebook page that acts as their website. You will mostly find desk / kitchen table type seating with some comfy seating upstairs under the dried lavender ceiling. The AC is strong so you will be cool even on the hottest day. One trip here and you will be able to tell why it is one of my favorites.
